Dr. Ryan Flannigan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urologic Sciences at the University of British Columbia.  He completed his fellowship training at Weill Cornell Medicine and Memorial Sloan Kettering. Since returning to the University of British Columbia, Dr. Flannigan has initiated a translational science research program in Male Reproduction and Peyronie’s Disease. Dr. Flannigan's research goals are to identify novel therapeutic approaches to treat and regenerate spermatogenesis in men with non-obstructive azoospermia and among cancer survivors, to establish novel platforms for sperm identification and selection, and to establish innovative therapeutic approaches to men with Peyronie’s disease. He has been the recipient of numerous international research awards and competitive grant funding. Dr. Flannigan serves as the director of the male sexual and reproductive medicine research program at the University of British Columbia, the clinical lead for the Prostate Cancer Supportive Care Program Sexual Medicine Clinic in British Columbia, and the program director for UBC’s Male Reproduction and Sexual Medicine Fellowship Program.  Dr. Flannigan’s clinical practice is focused in male infertility, microsurgery, Peyronie’s disease and surgical erectile dysfunction.
